Silvia Benedito is an architect/urbanist and Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also serves as the Faculty Co-Chair of the Sensory Media Platform and the Co-Coordinator of the Art, Design and Public Domain MDeS concentration at the GSD. Benedito received a degree in Music and Architecture from Coimbra’s Conservatory of Music and Coimbra University, and a post-professional degree in Urban Design from the Harvard GSD. She is the co-principal of OFICINAA, an international award-winning architecture, landscape and urban design practice based in both Cambridge and Ingolstadt, Germany. Benedito is the co-editor of the book Thermodynamic Interactions: An Exploration into Physiological, Material and Territorial Atmospheres (ACTAR 2017), and co-author of a book based on an ongoing design project along the Danube river in Germany, entitled Landscape Tunings: An Urban Park at the Danube (ACTAR 2017).
