Anneke Abhelakh
Anneke Abhelakh is an independent curator, writer and researcher based in Zurich who develops strategic and editorial projects in the field of contemporary art, architecture and public space. She has worked at the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) as assistant curator, curator and intermediate chief-curator. At NAi she established the “Studio for Unsolicited Architecture” together with Rory Hyde and edited Architecture of Consequences and the Architecture Bulletins series, published with nai 010 publishers. She joined AMO to lead the 2011 OMA/Progress exhibition at the Barbican and was the head of Public Program at The Berlage in Delft. At ETH Zurich she taught the course “Exhibiting Architecture,” and co-developed Xenotheka with Dr. Miro Roman. At Dropcity in Milan, she launched the public programs “On Public Agency” (2023) and “Architecting the Future” (2024). She was the first artistic director at Zentrum Architektur Zürich. She curated the Albanian pavilion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.
