Axel Langer

Axel Langer, born 1968 in Baden (Switzerland). Studied art history and music theory at Zurich University. At Museum Rietberg since 1999, first as director of publications and since 2005 as curator of West Asian art. He is interested in transcultural themes that connect the Occident and Orient. This was reflected in exhibitions such as “The Fascination of Persia” (2013) or “In the Name of the Image” (2022).
