Lajos L. Kassák

Lajos Kassák (1887–1967) was a Hungarian writer and painter. Trained as a locksmith, he spent three years in Paris, where he met Robert Delaunay and Pablo Picasso, among others. He wrote expessionist poetry, drama and novels, and co-edited numerous avant-garde magazines. Together with László Moholy-Nagy he published the "Buch neuer Künstler" in 1922.
